“We know we cannot plant seeds with closed fists. To sow, we must open our hands.” – Adolfo Perez Esquivel
Get ready for spring planting as OSU Extension Service Master Gardener™, Terri Rottman, shares information about seeds and growing plants!
Attendees will learn about selecting and storing seeds. Terri will cover container and seeding media choices, and when and how to sow them. She will also discuss requirements for seed germination and seedling care.
Terri Rottman has been serving as an OSU Extension Service Master Gardener™ since 2024. She has also volunteered with the Washington County Master Gardener Association in their Learning Garden at Jenkins Estate, as well led a “Nature Journaling” workshop.
OSU Extension Master Gardeners™ are volunteer educators, neighbors, and on-the-ground researchers who serve their community with solid training in science-based, sustainable gardening and a love of lifelong learning.
This program is part of GHCL's Garden Home Green Thumbs, which hosts quarterly events to inspire gardeners. We host an annual spring seed swap (Sat., March 15) and other special events. If you’d like to be on the email list for future events, please contact Heather W.
